Insignia Fire TV Remote Not Working? Here’s How to Fix It

If your Insignia fire TV remote isn’t working, there are a few things you can do to fix it. Check the battery charge and condition, re-pair your remote to your television, and make sure your IR emitter and receiver are in working order.

Check battery charge and condition

If your remote doesn’t recognize the TV or the menu button isn’t working after restarting your device, there’s a good chance it’s the battery. The battery on your remote is one of the first things to check, and if it’s too low, you may want to consider replacing it.

To test the battery, disconnect the remote from the TV for a minute, and then plug it back in with the appropriate polarity. Then, test the remote to see if the buttons are functioning. If they don’t, you may need to reset it or try to use voice commands.

If your Insignia remote won’t work, the first step is to check the batteries. The batteries might be dead, loose, or damaged. The battery connection terminals may be corroded, or the remote may not be receiving the correct signal.

Reset your Insignia TV and remote

If you are experiencing problems with your TV and remote, you can perform a factory reset. This will completely erase all of the data on the TV, including your log-in information. This will also wipe out any recordings, tuned channels, and any other personal settings.

Resetting your Samsung TV and remote can help you resolve temporary software issues, so it’s worth trying. If all else fails, visit your local Insignia support center for assistance.

To perform a factory reset, you will need to have a Insignia Smart Remote. To do this, press the source button on the remote for 12 seconds.

Next, enter the factory reset PIN (0000). When prompted, select ‘Yes’ to confirm the process. After completing the factory reset, the TV will reboot.

Re-pair your remote to the TV

If your insignia fire TV remote doesn’t work, you can re-pair it with your TV. First, you need to insert the batteries into your remote. Hold the home button on your remote for at least 10 seconds.

After that, you can choose the device that you want to pair with your TV and type in the code that you found on the guide. When the pairing process is complete, you will see three blue lights on the remote.

To re-pair your Insignia fire TV remote to your TV, press the home button on your remote. This will send the remote’s infrared signal to the receiver on the TV.

It will then interpret the signal. If the pairing process still doesn’t work, you can try unplugging the cables from your remote and plugging them back in. If you’re using an enhanced Insignia remote, you may need to remove the casing that covers the batteries and then press the pairing button underneath.

Make sure the IR emitter and receiver are working

First, try to determine whether the remote emits a signal when pressed. If you can see a red light, your remote is working correctly. If it doesn’t, the batteries may be dead or weak. Also, make sure that the area where you’re using the remote is free of obstructions, such as objects, that block the IR beam.

If the Insignia Fire TV remote doesn’t work, you should first make sure the IR emitter and receiver are both functioning correctly. If they’re not, there’s a good chance you have a faulty IR sensor. You can easily check this by using a smartphone camera. Infrared light isn’t visible to the naked eye, but it will easily show up on a smartphone camera. If you can’t figure out what’s wrong, call Insignia’s customer service department. The representatives will be able to walk you through troubleshooting steps.

Reset your tv and update its firmware

If your Insignia Fire TV remote is not responding to commands, the first step is to reboot your device. This will restart your device and open the Apple Airplay and Homekit settings. Now, the remote will work with your new device. You can then use your new remote to control your television.

If your Fire TV is taking a long time to boot up, it might be due to an internal issue. In such a case, you should try resetting your Fire TV by pressing the Back and Right buttons simultaneously. If the TV still does not boot up after the restart, you may have to wait a few minutes for the device to finish booting.

If the issue persists, you should try a hard or soft reset of your Insignia Fire TV. However, be careful when resetting your device because it might interfere with small electrical power packages. Make sure that you have removed the power cord before attempting a hard reset. Once you’ve completed this procedure, you’ll be able to use your Insignia Fire TV remote again.
